M. Sean BrownCo-founder
Sean is a co-founder of The Asha Foundation (TAF). He is from the USA and after a successful 15 years as a financial planner to some of America’s rich and famous retired to pursue his charitable interests. He has an extensive background in Estate, Business, and Financial Planning. He has used this knowledge in helping TAF grow its businesses. His desire was to support sustainable development initiatives through life-changing programs designed to positively change our world and to educate, inspire and result in more active global citizens.
Aida “Asha” BrownCo-founder
Asha is a co-founder of The Asha Foundation (TAF). She hires and trains employees and runs the language programs at TAF. She was adopted at a very young age and was mentally raised to serve others before ones self. Using her adopted parents as role models she is now dedicated to Passing it forward, from one orphan to another.
Cathy “Didi” LeeDirector of Sunshine School
Didi is the director of Sunshine School. She is an Australian/Japanese educator who has been working in Laos for 14 years. Didi has vast experience in the educational and community development fields having worked in and supervised projects throughout Asia, Australia and Europe over the last 40 years. She is a specialist in Neo-humanist education. She is also a teacher of yoga and meditation. Didi is one of the original board members of The Asha Foundation (TAF) and because of her vast experience in running charitable foundations has been invaluable to TAF
“Marc” Daniel GallagherHead Teacher
Marc came to Laos as a volunteer but ended up staying because he fell in love with Laos. He is the head teacher at the Sunshine Schools after school English program. Marc is also a key marketing contributor to The Asha Foundation. Marc enjoys working with adults and children and making new friends with volunteers.
Bouthsaba “Saba” ChouthathayTeacher
Saba wears many hats for The Asha Foundation. She teaches English classes, translates, interprets, does front office support, and is a liaison between English and non-English speaking employees. Saba has a passion for Arts and working with kids.
Tong MouaVolunteer Coordinator
Tong is Hmong and from Xieng Khuang, the northern mountainous area in Laos. He helps with just about everything around Sunshine School and is the volunteer coordinator for The Asha Foundation. He arranges accommodation for volunteers and assists them with ongoing needs during their stay.
Champi “Pee” HoungnyachitFront Office
Pee works in the Sunshine School front office and helps with front desk activities and translation. She loves having fun while working in Sunshine School and helping The Asha Foundation.
Thatsany “Jagajan” NandeeFront Desk
Jagajan works in Sunshine School front office and helps with front desk activities, translation and interpreting. She enjoys working with Sunshine School and partnering with the Asha foundation to help with administrative work.
